A tribute to the heavenly voice from Druze, Amal El Atrache AKA Asmahan, sister of the Great Maestro Farid El Atrache. "Ya Touyour" remains one of the most famous songs of Asmahan and a living proof of her gifted vocal range. English Translation of the lyrics: "O' Birds! Bellydancer Asmahan (Argentinian dancer working in Cairo) wows us with her fantastic show on the Nile Maxin in Cairo. Asmahan is famed for her lavish stage shows and I recommend that tourists to Cairo go and see her. Other famous dancers like Randa & Dina don't dance until 4am, Asmahan danced at a much more reasonable time and is more accessible to the non-bellydance western audience. plus, the food was excellent!

اجمل اغاني اسمهان: 1) يا حبيبي تعال الحقني 2) الورد 3) يلي هواك 4) ليالي الانس 5) يا طيور 6) امتى حتعرف 7) رجعت لك 8) انا اللي استاهل 9) اسقنيها 10) اهوى 11) عليك صلاه الله إسمهان الحقيقى هو آمال الأطرش، وهي الإبنة الوحيدة التي كتب لها الحياة في أسرتها.والدها فهد الأطرش وهو درزي من جبل الدروز في سوريا ووالدتها علياء المنذر وهي درزية لبنانية من بلدة برمانا في الشوف، ولديها شقيقين هما : فؤاد وفريد الأطرش المطرب والموسيقار المعروف والذي كانت على وفاق تام معه والذي أخذ بيدها إلى عالم الفن وجعلها نجمة غناء لامعة إلى جانب شهيرات ذلك الوقت. وقد كان لها شقيق ثالث يدعى أنور وشقيقة تدعى وداد توفيا صغيرين. ظهرت مواهب آمال الغنائية والفنية باكراً، فقد كانت تغني في البيت والمدرسة مقلدة أم كلثوم ومرددة أغاني عبد الوهاب وشقيقها فريد. وفي أحد الأيام إستقبل فريد في المنزل الملحن داود حسني أحد كبار الموسيقيين في مصر، فسمع آمال تغني في غرفتها فطلب إحضارها وسألها أن تغني من جديد، فغنت آمال فأعجب داود بصوتها، ولما إنتهت قال لها "كنت أتعهد تدريب فتاة تشبهك جمالاً وصوتاً توفيت قبل أن تشهر لذلك أحب أن أدعوك بإسمها أسمهان" وهكذا أصبح اسم آمال الفني أسمهان. أخذت أسمهان منذ 1931 تشارك أخاها فريد في الغناء في صالة ماري منصور في شارع عماد الدين بعد تجربة كانت لها إلى جانب والدتها في حفلات الأفراح والإذاعة المحلية، وراح نجمها يسطع في سماء الأغنية العربية، وصوتها يفتن الأسماع ويغزو القلوب. في سنة 1933 تزوجت من الأمير حسن الأطرش وإنتقلت معه إلى جبل الدروز في سوريا لتمضي معه كأميرة للجبل مدة ست سنوات رزقت في خلالها ابنة وحيدة هي كاميليا، لكن حياتها في الجبل إنتهت على خلاف مع زوجها، فعادت من سوريا إلى مصر <b>...</b>

I really don't know what to put in this description, so you can tell me what you think of the video, and I'll work it out from there. :) Music Used: For the first part, I used "Going Under" by Evanessence. And for the last part, I used the ending music from "The Asmahan Series" Video Clips: Scenes from "The Asmahan Series", and various clips from Asmahan's old movies ("Intissar el Shabaab" and "Gharam wa Intiqaam") I used Windows Movie Maker to make this, so the editing isn't very good, but it was the best I had, so put up with it.
