3:6 / 234256 viewThis is the final scene in the film directed by Ralph Nelson. It's the scene where Homer Smith, played by Sidney Poitier leaves Mother Maria, played by Lilia Skala after building them a chapel. After taking one last look at the chapel he built, Smith, knowing that his work is done, slips into his car and drives quietly off into the night. www.imdb.com
18:8 / 3522296 viewThis fascinating, brilliant 20-minute video narrates the history of the "Amen Break," a six-second drum sample from the b-side of a chart-topping single from 1969. This sample was used extensively in early hiphop and sample-based music, and became the basis for drum-and-bass and jungle music -- a six-second clip that spawned several entire subcultures. Nate Harrison's 2004 video is a meditation on the ownership of culture, the nature of art and creativity, and the history of a remarkable music clip.
4:59 / 2619516 viewThank you all for the support and compliments on this video. Warner Music Group decided they wanted to pull my video for copyright infringement when Robert Richie (Kid Rock) and his video producers (RefusedTV) had both commended me and even asked for advice on their "official" video. They are trying to claim their rights were infringed upon under DRM. However, this has done NOTHING to harm them and perhaps has actually pushed their song to more listeners. Thank you YouTube for listening to my rebuttal and reposting my video. Lastly, God bless you Mr Brossard. You were my inspiration for this video. Also, thank you to all of the staff at the Elliot in the Morning Show and ABC for broadcasting Kid's kind words regarding my video. Robert Hamilton

8:4 / 24715 viewfrom Old Ideas 2012 Lyrics: Tell me again When I've been to the river And I've taken the edge off my thirst Tell me again We're alone and I'm listening I'm listening so hard that it hurts Tell me again When I'm clean and I'm sober Tell me again When I've seen through the horror Tell me again Tell me over and over Tell me that you want me then Amen... Tell me again When the victims are singing And the Laws of Remorse are restored Tell me again That you know what I'm thinking But vengeance belongs to the Lord Tell me again When I'm clean and I'm sober Tell me again When I've seen through the horror Tell me again Tell me over and over Tell me that you love me then Amen... Tell me again When the day has been ransomed And the night has no right to begin Try me again When the angels are panting And scratching at the door to come in Tell me again When I'm clean and I'm sober Tell me again When I've seen through the horror Tell me again Tell me over and over Tell me that you need me then Amen... Tell me again When the filth of the butcher Is washed in the blood of the lamb Tell me again When the rest of the culture Has passed through the Eye of the Camp Tell me again When I'm clean and I'm sober Tell me again When I've seen through the horror Tell me again Tell me over and over Tell me that you love me then Amen...

Watch this video about the Amen Break: www.youtube.com The Winstons - Amen, Brother ( www.myspace.com ) Label : (Metromedia Records, BMI) Biography by Ron Wynn & Bruce Eder : A Washington, DC-based soul act led by Richard Spencer, the Winstons signed to Curtom in early 1968 and lasted there for one single, the rousing "Need a Replacement." They had a sound that was somewhat similar to the Impressions, but were unfortunate enough to have signed with Curtom before the label had national distribution, and the single never got the play it should have. A year after leaving Curtom, they hit for the Metromedia label with a huge single called "Color Him Father," which became a Top Ten R&B and pop hit, just missing number one on the R&B list, and also earned a Grammy for Best R&B Song. It was both a great tribute number and outstanding lead vocal from Richard Spencer, along with Ray Maritano, Quincy Mattison, Phil Tolotta, Sonny Peckrol, and GC Coleman. Mattison and Coleman were veterans of Otis Redding's band. The Winstons eventually toured as the backup band for the Impressions, but never again made any noise on the charts.
