The Villa Malaparte was built between 1938 and 1942 on a high promontory on the island of Capri, Italy. It is as much a house as it is a sundeck. The design is by the owner, poet Curzio Malaparte and famous architect Adalberto Libera. In the film Le Mépris (1963), dir. Jean-Luc Godard the Villa is owned by a money hungry American movie producer, played with great gusto by Jack Palance. The blonde woman is Brigitte Bardot, the brunette Georgia Moll. The young guy with the hat is Michel Piccoli, the old guy veteran director Fritz Lang who really seems to enjoy himself.

Adalberto Santiago Nació el 23 de abril de 1937 en el barrio Pozas de Ciales, Puerto Rico. Adalberto es un experimentado e impecable vocalista, que está entre los mejores en el movimiento de la salsa y que durante cinco décadas ha participado como cantante en los coros (corista) de innumerables grabaciones en Nueva York Y Puerto Rico, para las más prestigiosas orquestas de la Música Latina. Su Inicio en el Arte de Cantar Adalberto Santiago empezó su carrera profesional cantando con tríos y, además, en algunas oportunidades tocando el bajo y la guitarra. Su primera experiencia orquestal se remonta a 1957, cuando viaja a Nueva York como cantante de la banda de Chuito Vélez Y Sus Estrellas Boricuas con quien efectúa sus primeras grabaciones. Siendo cantante de la orquesta de Chuito tuvo la oportunidad de grabar con las orquestas de Willie Rodríguez, dos elepés en el sello Fonseca Records: Heat Wave Salsa en el cual sólo vocaliza dos temas bailables en español: Goza Mi Guaguancó y Tremendo Guaguancó; y Willie Rodríguez And His Orchestra Cantando Adalberto Santiago del cual merecen atención los temas Colorín Colorao, Sujétate La Lengua, Monte Adentro, Mi Montuno y Cimarrón. Con la Orquesta de Ray Barretto Después de sus trabajos con las orquestas de Chuíto Vélez, Willie Rodríguez y Willie Rosario, su carrera realmente se impulsó cuando se unió a la orquesta de Ray Barreto.
